Hard rockers and reality TV stars and DJs took The Entertainment Capital of the World by storm over the weekend, and add in a party leader from LMFAO, and it was definitely not the day the music died.

Hometown hero Vince Neil, safely back from emergency surgery in Australia, led a raucous rocker lineup at the Bob Rocks Festival at The Orleans Arena with Warrant, Skid Row, Quiet Riot and Night Ranger.

The next night, Vince switched places and sat in the audience for The Eagles at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

It was head-to-head competition with Def Leppard’s opening weekend of “Viva Hysteria” at The Joint in The Hard Rock Hotel. The mini-residency for Britain’s top-rated arena band of 11 shows with a never-before-seen set runs through April 13.

In honor of their arrival, Mayor Carolyn Goodman proclaimed Friday as “Def Leppard Day.” The Hard Rock also hosted a memorabilia display dedication. Members Joe Elliott, Vivian Campbell, Rick Savage, Phil Collen and Rick Allen joined Paul Davis of The Hard Rock Hotel and Bobby Reynolds of AEG Live Las Vegas for the unveiling.

“Hats off to you guys,” Paul said to the band. “We’re honored to have this unique instrument here. To see a true piece of rock ’n’ roll history is really moving -- I can’t believe it’s here.”

The dedication features the original drum kit Rick used after a near fatal car accident; he custom designed the instrument so that he could continue to play the drums after the loss of his left arm. Three additional exhibits feature gold records, guitars and costumes.

Our thanks to Erik Kabik for his photo gallery of the concert and to Scott Harrison for his photo gallery of the memorabilia unveiling.

Paul DelVecchio, better known as DJ Pauly D, proved that he’s long left “Jersey Shore” and into his new residency at Haze in Aria. Co-star and pal Vinny Guadagnino joined him for the revelry. Hard-working Pauly had a DJ residency at the Hard Rock in 2012 and at the Palms in 2011. Thanks to David Becker of WireImage for his photo gallery of the “Jersey” boys (yeah, yeah, Pauly is actually from Rhode Island).

Heavy metal legend Anthrax brought their “Metal Alliance Tour” to House of Blues at Mandalay Bay, and the spotlight was all over guitarist Scott Ian and lead singer Joey Belladonna. Thanks to Scott for his photo gallery of the rockers.

At The Bank in Bellagio, Sky Blu, one half of party rockers LMFAO, launched his “Who Came to Party?” residency; thanks to Bryan Steffy of WireImage for his photo gallery.

On Sunday night at The Joint, Jon Bon Jovi was minus Bon Jovi and instead with his side project Kings of Suburbia.

Party rock on, Vegas!
