Grammy-nominated artist Fat Joe continued Cinco de Mayo Weekend celebrations by hosting and performing at LAX in the Luxor on Saturday night. Arriving after 1 a.m. (yes, it was technically Sunday), Fat Joe and his group walked to their VIP booth, where they enjoyed a few drinks before he made his way to the stage.
At 1:30 a.m., Fat Joe, sporting shades and a big gold chain, took to the mic: “Who’s ready to have a good time tonight, LAX?” He kicked off his performance with “You Got It,” a collaboration with Eminem and T.I.
His setlist also included “What’s Love,” “Another Round” (his collaboration with Chris Brown), “Make It Rain,” “Lean Back” and “All I Do Is Win.” He ended the mini-concert with his new track “Ballin’,” dedicating it to his fans at LAX. TA, his hype man and backup vocalist, joined him onstage for the performance.
Before departing the main stage, the rapper said, “Thank you for the love, Las Vegas!” and returned to his VIP booth, where he happily posed for photographs with fans and partied and drank with his friends. Fat Joe is currently working on his new album “The Darkside Vol. 3” with guests Wiz Khalifa, Fabolous and Trey Songz set for release this fall.
