2013 Vegas Uncork'd Saber Off at Hakkasan Las Vegas

If it’s French, it can be called champagne. If it’s sparkling wine in Italy, it’s called prosecco. Either way, it’s bubbly, and the 7th annual epicurean extravaganza Vegas Uncork’d by Bon Appetit kicked off this afternoon with the traditional saber off.

Star chef Michael Mina led his colleagues Mary Sue Milliken of Mandalay Bay, Guy Savoy and Francois Payard from Caesars Palace and Julian Serrano and Jean-Georges Vongerichten of Bellagio and Aria to the afternoon ceremony outside Hakkasan Las Vegas by MGM Grand’s gold statue lions.
