Grammy Award-winning band Blues Traveler has signed with Las Vegas management ace Seth Yudof and his multimedia UD Factory, and his first assignment for them was a show for Hillary Rodham Clinton and her daughter Chelsea Clinton at a Clinton Foundation fundraiser.

Seth told me: “The move brings the day-to-day management to Las Vegas, where a growing number of major artists are represented. We are incredibly excited to have Blues Traveler top our roster. They are a legendary jam band who has sold more than 10 million albums.

“We have been impressed with Robert Reynolds’ success with The Killers and Imagine Dragons, and we are proud to have another major artist now represented out of Las Vegas.”

Next year marks the 20th anniversary of Blues Traveler’s six-time platinum album “Four,” and the band has plans for a major release to mark the milestone, along with a series of appearances.

As part of their kickoff, Blues Traveler performed for the Clintons at Regency Ballroom in San Francisco as part of the Clinton Foundation’s efforts to host Millennium Network events in the U.S. and the world to encourage the next generation of leaders and philanthropists to make a difference by giving back. Actor Patrick Dempsey (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Rashida Jones (“The Office” and the daughter of music legend Quincy Jones) were the celebrity Honorary Ambassadors at the event.

Seth said: “Blues Traveler performs about 100 concerts each year. Lani Sarem, whose previous production experience includes The Monkees, Gnarls Barkley and the Life Is Beautiful festival, is handling the band’s day-to-day management.

“Michael Licata, who is currently on the production team for Drake’s 2013 world tour, heads artist development. Both have been principals at Las Vegas-headquartered UD Factory for more than three years.”
