Winter in Venice

Even though we haven’t yet enjoyed the turkey and the trimmings, executives at the Venetian and Palazzo will provide an early look at the holiday season with tonight’s official kickoff of the annual Winter in Venice carnival.

This year, Venetian headliners Human Nature and Celtic Woman will welcome VIP guests and introduce a sneak peek of “Panda,” the upcoming stage production from China opening at the Palazzo in December.

It’s a wondrous festival to lift your spirits with one of the Strip’s brightest and biggest Christmas trees and an ice-skating rink for the more action-hearty.

Special culinary events hosted by celebrity chefs Wolfgang Puck, Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse and “Cake Boss” star Buddy Valastro will be featured, along with the incredible La Cucina Italiana food-and-wine festival with Italy’s top culinary stars.

Winter in Venice continues through Jan. 5.
