It was a Hollywood red-carpet party for Oscar winners Morgan Freeman, Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas and Kevin Kline for their new AARP “Hangover” movie “Last Vegas,” but glamorous actress and co-star Mary Steenburgen stole the show as the downtown cabaret lounge singer.

Even her husband actor Ted Danson snapped photos galore with his iPhone when she stood with the guys in front of the Bellagio Fountains. They brought their children, Kate Danson and Charlie McDowell, with them for their weekend getaway here. (Mary’s ex is actor Malcolm McDowell.)

Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak proclaimed Friday, Oct. 18, 2013,” “Last Vegas Day” in the city of Las Vegas and Clark County, and a key was presented to the cast and director Jon Turtelhaub.

Our De Niro lookalike Robert Nash, the “Raack ‘n’ Roll” comedy impersonator at the D Hotel Las Vegas, got a double-take from the superstar as he walked to the stage. He looked once, looked away and then looked back and recognizing “himself” said that they should definitely have a photograph together of the meeting.

After the film’s screening at UA Showcase Theaters on the Strip, the stars, including co-star Romany Malco, celebrated with an after-party at Haze in Aria following a large red carpet that Editor at Large John Katsilometes covered.

One film critic told me today: “This is one long commercial for Las Vegas showing off all of its temptations and attractions for single guys.”

Michael told us: “Las Vegas is really exciting for all of us. It’s a city I know where you come here to be a winner, and I know all of us up here certainly feel like winners today. With this kind of honor and to know that this is ‘Last Vegas Day’ is the craziest thing and so exciting.”

“Last Vegas” hits theaters nationwide on Nov. 1.
