A new Las Vegas company helmed by many of the music industry’s legendary producers will be unveiled tonight and change the way indie artists can become tomorrow’s biggest music stars. My longtime pal and TuneGo’s chief Ron Dante, who has produced hits for former Strip headliners Barry Manilow and Cher, told me: “We see it as a global company as music and our platform have no boundaries. It’s a revolutionary interactive online community putting artists in touch with the entire music industry.”
TuneGo provides an outlet to help artists develop their careers, get them in front of record industry experts and simultaneously allow the public the opportunity to discover them. Co-founder Stacy Haitsuka, who also founded NetZero, said: “The artist has been chasing the industry for too long. TuneGo flips that dynamic, bringing legendary music producers and songwriters who are actively aggressively seeking the next breakout stars.”
Check out the videos of the company at TuneGo.com, which is backed by other music legends including Peter Asher, who has recorded Neil Diamond and Diana Ross; Lamont Dozier of Lil Wayne, Usher and Three 6 Mafia fame; Kevin Chukro, who has produced for Strip headliner Shania Twain and Ozzy Osbourne; Madonna and Carlos Santana producer John “Jellybean” Benitez; and Michael Lloyd, who has recorded The Moody Blues, Belinda Carlisle and Jeffrey Osborne. Fans can become investors via crowdfunding at IndieGogo.com/tunego.
Bon Jovi, Selena, Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera producer Desmond Child added: “A song is not really finished until someone listens to it, and TuneGo is now the best way to get it heard.” TuneGo also will have its own radio network for distribution of music. Ron, who has produced platinum records with more than $650 million in sales, told me that attending tonight’s House of Blues unveiling with him will be Michael, Kevin and Denzil Foster and Las Vegas artists Avalon Landing, Adam Roose and Arising Tide.
$2 MILLION PRIZE: When former UNLV student Justin McBride retired from professional bull riding in 2009, he walked away as the first western sports athlete with $5 million in career earnings and two World Champion titles. As he started out on his new country-singing career, he vowed never again to risk life and limb in the sport he dominated for 10 years. However, he’s now going back on his word for a shot at a mind-blowing $2 million prize when RFD’s “The American” makes world history next March at AT&T Stadium near Dallas.
“It’s just a one-day event, so I can continue with my family and music career while returning to the arena to again experience the thrill of the competition,” Justin said. The $2 million payout will be the richest one-day rodeo in history, as Justin won an exemption to be among the Top 17 PBR riders competing on the meanest of bulls. As it is combined with the PBR Iron Cowboy event, more than 100,000 fans are expected to witness the legends of the sport.
MEAN-SPIRITED: An upset Vince Neil called me to set the record straight about a mean-spirited, two-week old gossip item printed elsewhere Wednesday. He has not signed contracts for Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” as was incorrectly reported. “If and when I do, you will be the first to know, Robin,” he said. Celebrity chef Nobu Matsuhisa warmly welcomed Motley Crue frontman Vince, our pal Michael Boychuck and me to a Hard Rock Hotel poolside tasting, and none of us witnessed any kind of flare-up by Vince, who was reported to be “agitated.”
I assure you he wasn’t, and in another petty dig, how can I be accused of sitting on an “exclusive” as reported about a proposed TV show if contracts haven’t been signed? Meantime, we did break the exclusive that Vince is opening a new pub-cantina dining venture at Circus Circus, Vince Neil’s Tatuado Eat-Drink-Party and Vince Neil’s Party Bus Bar, and now I can confirm that the VIP party will be Nov. 2, with the grand opening to the public five days later. It will be the first of many across the country.
MICHAEL JACKSON VAULT: Right up until his tragic 2009 death, Michael Jackson kept a 1.75-acre Thriller Villa estate here. On Friday night, parts of the home will be unveiled for the first time at a Shine Family Foundation masquerade ball fundraiser, “Dressed to Thrill.” The cellar, tunnels and his Artist Vault where he housed an extensive art collection will be opened, and the party will include Kings Court and Neverland Chapel.
Details can be found at ShineFamilyFoundation.org or Facebook.com/Shineff. Entertainers include Al B Sure, Zowie Bowie, Society of Seven, Seth Grabel and Daryl Wright, plus, a fashion show by Joey Galon, who will MC the red carpet. Tim Homayoon will be the auctioneer. Money raised at the event helps families of our deployed military and returning veterans.
Jessa Lynn Hinton
FACE OF HALLOWEEN: Knockout Las Vegas beauty and 2011 July Playboy centerfold Jessa Lynn Hinton was selected to be the face of Reviv “hangover” spa at MGM Grand this year, and now this week she became the national face of Halloween. Jessa is seen on advertising and promotional materials for costume and lingerie company Foreplay and its sexy catalog. Pardon the pun, but she’s be-witching.
NASCAR CHAMPIONS: NASCAR returns to Las Vegas to start its Champions Week celebrations, and I’ve been invited to handle the driver introductions as MC for the Victory Lap around the Strip on Dec. 5.
A VERY SPECIAL NOTE: Beloved Las Vegas comedienne and impressionist Pam Matteson is battling cancer for the second time, but this time it’s a brain cancer. Comics are uniting to raise funds to help defray bills. They plan several benefits, with the first on Nov. 1 at Laugh Factory in Tropicana. Singer-impressionist Finis Henderson will headline with comics Shayma Tash, Harry Basil and other guests. There is a Go-Fund-It link to make donations: GoFundMe.com/4v2oi0.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
It will be a fan and paparazzi frenzy when Kim Kardashian and matriarch Kris Jenner arrive for the newly-engaged reality TV starlet’s birthday celebration while fiance Kanye West performs at MGM Grand. He proposed to her in an elaborately staged down-on-one-knee on Monday during a concert in San Francisco. Plus, a star-studded weekend with Jay Leno, Jimmy Buffett, Alice in Chains, Avenged Sevenfold, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill battling for the spotlight against The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Beck and Kings of Leon at the inaugural Life Is Beautiful festival downtown.
