Carlos Santana extends House of Blues residency two years, returns in November

Legendary and Grammy Award-winning guitarist Carlos Santana today extended his headliner residency show “An Intimate Evening With Santana: Greatest Hits Live” two years at House of Blues in Mandalay Bay.

Tickets for the November and January performances go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Dates are Nov. 5, 7-9, 12, 14-16 and 18 and Jan. 21, 23-25 and 28-31. Shows begin at 8 p.m.

“It is an honor to call House of Blues in Las Vegas my home,” Carlos Santana said in a news release. “We love the intimacy at HOB. Every day, we look forward to create newness, freshness and connect people to their own light with what we have and who we are — the Universal Tone.”

HOB has been home to Santana’s concert since 2012; before HOB, Santana was a headliner across town at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel for a few years.

“We’re happy to have Carlos back. We’ve had an amazing run with him — virtually every show was a sell-out,” said HOB President Ron Bension. “He’s the perfect superstar talent appearing in a perfect venue that gives our audiences an intimate experience that can’t be found anywhere else.”

A portion of all tickets sold will be donated to the Milagro Foundation. Milagro (“Miracle”) is a foundation supporting underrepresented and vulnerable children in arts, education and health. Santana and his family created the Milagro Foundation in 1998.

Another contribution will be made to the International House of Blues Foundation ( dedicated to supporting youth music and arts programs, creating performance and exhibition opportunities and providing educational programs and resources to teach history, culture and social change.
