It’s a dream come true for one of the sexiest ladies in Las Vegas.
Stunning Jennifer Romas has created, produced and choreographed Las Vegas’ newest adult topless revue in its own late-night cabaret club at Westgate Las Vegas.
Titled “Sexxy,” Jen says it’s “sassy, edgy and certain to please everyone. The cast is amazing and brilliant, and every one of them is very sexy in her own right.”
“Sexxy” debuts Sunday inside the 300-seat Shimmer Cabaret lounge in time to welcome CES conventioneers. “Sexxy” will be an 11 p.m. production that goes into the bewitching midnight hour with the intimate showroom turned into a late-night, Paris-themed club with an emphasis on eroticism and ecstasy.
“We will be different from anything else on the Strip and different from anything ever done in this genre. It’s a journey of sensuality and sexual adventure with fun and enticing vignettes featuring music from all eras appealing to men and women of all ages,” the leggy brunette bombshell said.
For now, she’s even starring in the production following her successes in Las Vegas shows “Splash” and iCandy Burlesque and as the solo dancer currently in Jason Tenner’s incredible “Purple Reign” Prince tribute show at Westgate.
That’s where Westgate owner David Siegel spotted her and was so impressed with her dance moves that he asked her what her dream was. When she told him it was to stage her own show, he said, “Go for it.” He gave her the go-ahead to create “Sexxy” for his venue.
“It was a magical moment, the one I’d worked and dreamed of for most of my life,” Jennifer told me. “What a marvelous opportunity and a lucky break. Now all the weight is on my shoulders. It’s a tremendous responsibility, and I will not fail. I have the support of so many wonderful people.
“It’s been 24/7 the past month with creating the show, casting it, doing the costumes, then building the stage, but, although exhausting, it’s really thrilling seeing my own production come to life.”
Her undying passion for dance and performance dates to when she was a gymnast and Minnesota state floor routine champion 30 years ago. It helped her win a dance scholarship to the world-renowned company Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago. Jennifer performed at the Kennedy Center for President Bill Clinton before moving to the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas.
Jennifer, recently named Ms. Element Fitness, appeared in the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and was the lead dancer with a pole, fire and lyra act in “Striptease The Show” at the Sahara. She has danced her way around the world from Broadway to Japan.
Additionally, she’s worked as a director, dancer and choreographer for Vince Neil, Dee Snider, Earth Wind and Fire, K.C. and The Sunshine Band and the Britney Spears arrival show on the Strip and the pop princess’s show when she was presented with the Key to the Strip.
“It’s been a lot of dancing, and I’m bringing everything I’ve ever known to ‘Sexxy,’ ” she told me. “All the things that we’ve never been able to do before can now be achieved with ‘Sexxy.’ I know everything everybody has done or tried to do before, and I assure you that we will be completely different in the way we feature everything in ‘Sexxy.’
“We have the Top 10 most popular erotic fantasies. We’ve got really tantalizing, hard-edged costumes, and our seven highly trained, gorgeous dancers will be right in the audience for an interactive guest experience. We’ve got a shock element that simply hasn’t been seen in any other topless revue, plus several other surprises that will captivate our customers. I know what they want, and we’re going to give it to them in a way they’ve never experienced before.”
Think Like a Man Too
Jennifer made it to the Top 15 on Season 4 of “America’s Got Talent” in the duo act Sexy and Dangerous. She also appeared in VH1’s “Rock of Love,” NASCAR’s “Fast Track to Fame” and VH1’s “Las Vegas Showgirl Boot Camp.” This summer she helped cast and choreograph the dancers in “Think Like a Man Too” filmed in Las Vegas and starring Kevin Hart and Meagan Good. Her shoe line Sekshual Designs are worn by the rival dancers of “X Burlesque” at the Flamingo.
I stopped by her rehearsals the week before Christmas and was dazzled by the precision dancing her hard-working crew was diligently performing hour after hour. The girls are knockouts, and with Jennifer as their leader, “Sexxy” is a surefire hit.
“I have an undying passion for the art of dance and music. This is how entertainers tell their story. We sleep, eat, breathe and dream our craft. It’s not a job; it’s a way of life,” she said. “We are a unique breed, and when we all have the chance to come together and unite our talents for a great cause, this is when magic happens.
“Never give up on your dreams. I am blessed in so many ways and have so many wonderful people who I have had the opportunity to meet and learn from.”
Jennifer continued: “I can’t give enough thanks to my dear friend and mentor Blair Farrington, who has been an incredible support and help to me. He has been my extra set of eyes and to help make sure I was on the right track. I just want everyone to know that I really appreciate them and their help under the tough time restraints. This would not have been possible without my family and an incredible team who came to my side.”
Once the show is underway, she plans to lighten her workload by rotating other top guest Las Vegas dancers.
“It was a tough deadline timetable to make at a difficult time of the year with everybody away,” she said. “But we’ve pulled it off, and as we move along with the show into 2015, we’ll polish it even more and bring in other performers.
“This is going to be the best topless adult revue in Las Vegas. It will become even more exotic and erotic with the fantasies as we settle into the showroom. It’s already got more dancing than any other late-night adult show. That was always my dream and my goal, and it’s already shaping up to be exactly that.”
