The handsome hunks who bare their pecs and sex appeal in Thunder From Down Under at Excalibur celebrated their 13th anniversary over the Fourth of July Weekend.

Producer Adam Steck of SPI Entertainment told me that he’s increased the number of shows to meet demand: “Thirteen is a lucky number for Thunder From Down Under and our fans who clamored for the chance to see more of the Aussie blokes who reveal their six-pack abs.

“We’ve become the No. 1 male revue in Las Vegas and winner of the Best Male Revue in reader polls, so we have added a 13th show to our weekly schedule. With being at the Excalibur for 13 years, we thank Renee West, president and COO of the hotel, for all the wonderful years there, and we’re looking forward to many more.

“The popularity of Thunder is phenomenal. We are an international brand and pride ourselves as representing quality in the entertainment industry and specifically in the adult-male-revue category, whether it is our sitting show in Las Vegas or our touring company, which is selling out around the country and overseas.”

With the addition of the 7 p.m. Saturday shows, Thunder now has a 9 p.m. show Mondays through Wednesdays, 9 and 11 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays and 7, 9 and 11 p.m. shows Fridays and Saturdays.

Adam added: “Thunder still is the darling of the media and continues to receive national television coverage with shows such as ABC’s ‘Nightline,’ Fox’s ‘Ok! TV,’ ‘The Hunt for Real Men’ and an upcoming movie, which we have to keep under wraps for now.

“The show is perfect for bachelorette parties, and we happily have provided memorable moments for thousands of brides-to-be and their wedding parties. Add birthdays, divorce parties and other celebrations to the mix, and you have happy ladies feeling empowered to have a good time.

“We also have a very popular Thunder package for the ladies (aside from our handsome, buffed blokes), which is coupled with Night School for Girls pole dancing and burlesque classes and a nightclub experience.

“We’re always keeping it fresh whether it is with new routines and/or new dancers with washboard abs. This year is no exception. We have the return of Dave Moore, who previously was in Thunder and one of the most popular performers, and Chris Michael, a handsome hunk who has the ladies swooning.

“Thunder fans always look forward to the steamy calendars we put out every year, and the 2015 one promises to be even sexier and will be available late August. Fans who love Thunder not only have the chance to see them in Las Vegas, but our touring show is selling out around the country and will also be traveling to Macau and Hong Kong in September.

“We also welcome our new sister show, ‘Sydney After Dark,’ which opens at Planet Hollywood tonight with the beautiful ladies from Australia.”

Its producer, Belinda Chapple, has written a guest column for while I am away in Italy. Meantime, our Editor at Large John Katsilometes’ interview with Belinda was posted early today.
