Music legend Lionel Richie and guest CeeLo Green took the spotlight at Mandalay Bay Events Center on Friday night, and contributing photographer Tom Donoghue of Donoghue Photography was onsite for a photo gallery.
CeeLo, a mentor on NBC’s “The Voice” from time to time who has a new series, “CeeLo Green’s The Good Life” on TBS, hit the stage first in what looked like a gray silk pajama set with a sleeveless shirt. (It is nearing summer and already in the 100s in the Entertainment Capital of the World.)
His setlist of originals and covers included “Bright Lights,” “We Are Family,” “Do You Think I’m Sexy,” “Nasty Girl,” “Don’tcha,” “Loving You,” “Fool for You,” “Crazy” and, of course, “Forget You.”
Richie, known as the frontman of Motown legend The Commodores and for his super-successful solo career, kept fans happy “All Night Long” with a setlist of Commodores and solo hits that included “Penny Lover,” “Easy,” “Ballerina Girl,” “You Are,” “Truly,” “Running With the Night,” “Stuck on You,” “Dancing on the Ceiling,” “Three Times a Lady,” “Endless Love,” “Say You, Say Me,” “Brick House”/“Fire,” “Hello” and “All Night Long.”
