Luxor headliner magician Criss Angel has released a three-set DVD of highlights from his Season 2 of “Mindfreak” on A&E. It’s edge-of-the-seat viewing for 7 1/2 hours as the Cirque du Soleil “Believe” star attempts an escape from a cage at the bottom of the ocean while surrounded by sharks and stinging jellyfish.
While in the water, he is tied up in a straightjacket to be pulled 40 mph behind a Jet-ski. Among the Las Vegas stars appearing with Criss are props comic and fellow Luxor headliner Carrot Top in a motorcycle roulette illusion and Sugar Ray singer Mark McGrath, who lets Criss read his mind.
Criss also performs a daredevil motorcycle jump and in a salute to Siegfried & Roy makes an elephant disappear. Locations here include several Las Vegas nightclubs where he performed impressive illusions with champagne bottles.
