The Aristofreeks feat. Kathy Sledge
Is the highly paid electronic dance music DJ phenomenon about to get a run for its money from the original Ibiza party scene?
The good times of the incredibly popular European nightclubs that dot the Spanish island in the Mediterranean are coming to Las Vegas.
Music guru Jerry Greenberg is the one-time president of Atlantic Records who signed acts including ABBA, Chic, Foreigner and Whitesnake and worked with The Bee Gees, Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton and The Rolling Stones.
Now he’s bringing the Ibiza infusion with the debut American performance of The Aristofreeks with sonic masters and remix championship finalists Max Martire and Shanti Matkin.
They’ll premiere at Light in Mandalay Bay next Wednesday, with the label Pacific Electronic Music’s launch with Next Step debuting its first original single “Get On Up” and Kathy Sledge, former lead singer of disco legends Sister Sledge, with “Keep It Moving.”
The red-hot Aristofreeks say their reinjection of disco into modern house music has revolutionized Ibiza, and they plan to do the same in Las Vegas.
