The annual Christmas display at Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, on the Las Vegas Strip.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year — in fact, ’tis the season to deck the halls — and that means Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens has unveiled its annual Christmas display.

Contributing photographer Tom Donoghue was on the Strip this Christmas Eve morning for his colorful, festive and bright photo gallery of the exhibit.

This holiday season’s spectacular includes a 42-foot Christmas tree, 7,000 lights, 2,500 ornaments, 12,000-carnation mother polar bear, 14-by-12-foot snow tunnel, 14-foot toy soldiers, 28,000 poinsettias, 2,000 azaleas, 2,000 cyclamen and more.

Donoghue said, “It was a little different shooting the Christmas display at Bellagio early this Christmas Eve morning.

“All sorts of Christmas pasts zoomed through me, and I could see the twinkle in the eyes of the children and reach out and touch the feelings and emotions. Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus.”

The winter wonderland is free and open 24/7 through Jan. 3. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
