Hooters Opens at Palms
The short orange shorts and tight white tank tops are a sexy trademark known around the world for the busty beauties of Hooters, and now Las Vegas lays claim to the world’s largest.
It’s as gargantuan as the girls are gorgeous seating more than 400 guests in a sprawling, two-story 15,200-square-foot space looking onto Palms Pool.
As expected, it’s saucy and spicy — and I’m talking about the chicken wings, not just the girls!
Palms President Todd Greenberg welcomed Hooters execs and luscious lineup of the ladies at Monday night’s grand opening:
“As the entertainment capital, Las Vegas is no stranger to iconic restaurants, and we’re thrilled that Hooters is joining these ranks at the Palms. The delicious Hooters menu contributes to Palms’ diverse array of dining venues.”
Mark Whittle, senior VP of global development for Hooters, added: “Las Vegas is the perfect setting for the largest Hooters location in the world. Now Hooters fans can enjoy our world-famous chicken wings within steps of the action at Palms Pool.
“The energy at Palms matches perfectly with the beach oasis atmosphere for which Hooters is well-known around the globe.”

At the private grand-opening event, guests watched the first Monday Night Football games of the season (the Atlanta Falcons defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, and the San Francisco 49ers won against the Minnesota Vikings), mingled with Hooters girls and enjoyed drinks, sliders, quesadillas and, of course, wings.
Pro BMX riders Ricardo Laguna and T.J. Lavin stopped by to celebrate the opening. I was even surrounded by blondes and brunettes who talked about being dressed in the sexy uniform:
“It’s awesome,” one told me. “It’s become my second skin,” said another, and one part-time model saucily laughed, “I like it when my butt cheeks hang out. We don’t mind the guys giving us the once-over. They’re not ogling us. They’re just looking, and we take that as a compliment.”
In fact, I remember several of the Hooters honeys taking part in recent model search pageants here. One told me: “I loved Las Vegas so much that I moved here from my hometown in the South, and we’re having a ton of fun working at Hooters. It’s a great place to work, have dinner and watch the games.”
Hooters at Palms features the latest contemporary comfort design elements that match the fun-loving persona of the Hooters brand. There is a bar experience, comfortable booths and high-back chairs to sleek finishes and top-of-the-line AV packages with nearly 50 TVs wrapped around what appears to be every inch of the walls.
The aesthetics are designed to provide a Hooters dining experience from the moment guests walk through the doors. And there are 12 video poker machines.
“We’ve really upped the ante for Hooters with this latest location at the Palms,” said Kim Tyler, Hooters at Palms franchisee. “We’re thrilled that our beautiful, iconic Hooters Girls are now welcoming guests at the world’s largest location.”
At the venue, formerly Guardino’s and Heraea, guests also can enjoy burgers, fan-favorite fried pickles, seafood dishes and raw bar.
Hooters has the curvy cuties, smiles, spicy chicken wings and plenty of fun right on the casino floor. There are more than 400 outlets in 42 states and 26 countries. The first Hooters opened in 1983 in Clearwater, Fla., and Las Vegas now takes the title of world’s largest.
