A man was arrested in Utah in connection to an April shooting that left a teenager dead, according to Metro Police.
DeAjai Guaydacan, 18, was arrested in Spanish Forks, Utah, on an open murder charge, police said. Guaydacan is awaiting extradition back to Las Vegas.
The shooting occurred April 9 in the 2100 block of Club Pacific Way, police said. The victim, an unidentified teenager who was found suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, died at the scene.
Metro detectives determined the victim was involved in an altercation with several suspects before they were shot, after which the suspects fled the scene.
Metro Police are still investigating the death, officials said.
