“The Instigators” reunites Matt Damon and Doug Liman

Matt Damon reunites with director Doug Liman from the “The Bourne Identity” for a movie in which Damon plays a character very different from Jason Bourne. Liman says you’ve never seen a character in a heist movie like Damon plays in “The Instigators.” Liman says Damon plays a desperate father named Rory who breaks the rules for the first time to rob a politician. Limon says Rory is a guy who doesn’t speed and has always done things by the book. Casey Affleck plays a small-time criminal who teams up with Rory. “The Instigators” will be released to theaters on Aug. 2, then it will stream on Apple TV Plus on Aug. 9.
