A person suffered nonlife-threatening injuries in a shooting this morning in a parking lot in the central valley, according to Metro Police.
The shooting was reported about 11 a.m. outside a business in the 5100 block of Maryland Parkway, near Hacienda Avenue, police said. A person suffering an apparent gunshot wound was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said.
Two people were being detained, but there was no confirmation that a suspect was in custody, police said. The investigation was ongoing, police said.
