Metro Police say they are investigating the near-drowning of a child in the 1700 block of Charnut Lane, northeast of Owens Avenue and Pecos Road, Metro Police said.
A 2-year-old child was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
The incident was reported about 1:24 p.m. in a residential neighborhood in the northeast valley, police said.
The investigation was ongoing, police said.
No additional details were immediately released.
