The CES gadget show will return to Las Vegas next year as a live event, after organizers conducted a virtual convention this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The show is set for Jan. 5 to 8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Consumer Technology Association announced today. The 2022 show will also retain a digital component, officials said.

About 1,000 companies have committed to participating, including Google, Amazon, AT&T, Hyundai, LG Electronics, Samsung Electronics and Sony.

“Hundreds of executives have told us how much they need CES to meet new and existing customers, find partners, reach media and discover innovation,” Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association, said in a statement.

Before the pandemic, the show attracted up to170,000 attendees annually. Organizers have not said how many people they expect at next year’s show.
