Henderson Police on Thursday released the name of two officers involved in a fatal police shooting following a standoff on Tuesday in east Las Vegas.
Officers Logan Tillmon and Mark Street fatally shot a man during a barricade situation in the 3000 block of East Charleston Boulevard, near Mojave Road. Both officers have been with Henderson Police since 2008 and are currently assigned to the Operations Support Division, according to a release from the department.
Henderson Police was asked by Metro Police to assist with an armed barricade, Henderson Police spokesman Alan Olvera said. Two Henderson SWAT officers fired at the subject, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Olvera said.
Both officers were placed on paid administrative leave, according to the release. It’s the second officer-involved shooting this year.
