Vegas Golden Knights center Mattias Janmark (26) gets caught between Los Angeles Kings defenseman Austin Strand (71) and defenseman Alexander Edler (2) during the first period of an NHL hockey game at T-Mobile Arena Saturday, March 19, 2022. Vegas Golden Knights right wing Evgenii Dadonov (63) is at right.

The Golden Knights will begin the 2022-23 season in Los Angeles against the Kings on Oct. 11. The NHL unveiled its schedule for the new league year today.

This will be the first time since its inaugural season that Vegas has opened away from T-Mobile Arena, when the Golden Knights won their first game against the Dallas Stars in American Airlines Center on Oct. 6, 2017.

The Golden Knights will have a heavy road portion to begin their season, playing three of their first four away from home and nine of their first 15.

Vegas' home opener will be two days later, Oct. 13, against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Other notable dates include new coach Bruce Cassidy's return to Boston (Dec. 5) and former coach Pete DeBoer's return to T-Mobile Arena on Jan. 16 as the new bench boss for the Dallas Stars.

The Golden Knights also announced that rookie camp will begin Sept. 14, with training camp following Sept. 21.

The full schedule is below, including the Golden Knights preseason schedule that includes a trip to Boise, Idaho. It includes the return of the Black Friday home game on Nov. 25 against the Seattle Kraken, and the New Year's Eve game against the Nashville Predators. All times are local:
