A man has been arrested more than a year after the shooting death of a motorist following a crash, according to Henderson Police.
Marquis White, 29, was taken into custody Nov. 2 in the death of a man whose vehicle he rear-ended in 2021, police said.
The incident was reported about 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2021, at Sunset Road and Valle Verde Drive, police said.
After White struck the rear of the other man’s car, the drivers pulled to the side of the road and got out to exchange information, police said.
White “became irate, acted as if a physical confrontation was imminent and pulled out a firearm,” police said.
He fired multiple rounds at the victim before leaving the scene, police said. The victim succumbed to his injuries Jan. 15, 2021, police said.
White was booked at the Henderson Detention Center on a count of open murder, police said.
