Suspect charged in man's death last week in Las Vegas

A 43-year-old man has been charged in the connection to a homicide that occurred Saturday in the 5100 block of O’Bannon Drive, a Metro Police news release stated.

Jimmy Hampton was arrested Wednesday and charged with Open Murder. He remained in Clark County Detention Center on Thursday, according to jail records.

Police responded to O’Bannon Drive at 8:26 p.m. Saturday to a report of an unconscious man, the release stated.

It says the man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Clark County Coroner’s office identified the man Thursday as 60-year-old Neil Clement Anderson. A city of residence was not available.

It was determined that Clement sustained injuries from blunt force trauma, the release stated.
