A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on E. Flamingo Road west of S. Victoria Street Monday night in Las Vegas, a Metro Police news release says.
The person was crossing south on E. Flamingo Road outside of a marked crosswalk, when struck by a 2015 Scion Tc traveling east, the release says.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The victim’s name was not included in the release.
The driver of the Scion remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
The death is the 40th traffic-related fatality in Metro Police’s jurisdiction so far this year.
