A sendoff for seniors like me against Air Force

Well, lets just get right to it, starting with last Saturday's 42-16 win over Wyoming.

It took a lot of weight off of our shoulders to finally get another win. We've been working hard at practice and all of that just to get at another one. It's finally here, now. It felt good for our team as a whole, it bumped up our morale and, honestly, it took off a lot of stress.

Now we have a short turnaround before playing our last home game of the year on Thursday night against Air Force.

If anything, just winning last Saturday helps us a lot in preparing for this game. It's helping with our confidence and everything. Still, it's tough since guys are a bit beat up and we wish we had more time to prepare for Air Force.

It's our last home game, and for the seniors like me, it's basically the last game to remember what our home stadium's about. If anything, I want to leave with a positive note, and at the end of the day give it all I've got.

As for preparing for Air Force, they run the option. The offense is pretty simple, but it's just hard to stop. They've got speed everywhere, from the line to the running backs.

Also, instead of taking normal blocks up high, you have to be aware of getting blocked low and stopping the run. They'll run the ball a lot, but you have to stay disciplined. They can run a pass on us with us thinking 'run' every play, and a guy could shake wide open.

Still, coming off of a win, our confidence has a boost.

I'll talk to you guys again next week, and hope to see you all on Thursday night.
