Is Las Vegas recession proof? That's the question that an Associated Press story looks at, considering the mortgage crisis and the rising costs of gasoline and food prices. Recent reports have showed that travel to Las Vegas fell slightly in January compared to a year earlier, drive-in traffic has slowed and gambling revenue for the state fell 5 percent compared to a year earlier.
