UFC’s White apologizes for Web tirade

UFC president Dana White apologized during an ESPN interview for his profanity-laced web tirade that was posted on YouTube on Wednesday, saying "I hurt people that I didn't intend to hurt and when you do something like that, yes, I believe that you should say you're sorry."

"I never intended to hurt anybody in the gay community, or be malicious, or look like a hateful guy," White continued. "I never meant to hurt anyone in the gay or lesbian community at all, in any way, shape or form. I would never do that."

White offered another YouTube video expressing his remorse for his sentiments that were directed at Sherdog.com reporter Loretta Hunt.

Yahoo MMA reporter Kevin Iole suggests that while White can't take back his embarrassing rant, he could produce a charitable UFC card, like he has in the past, where the proceeds would benefit gay and lesbian charities and an abused women’s charity.

"If that happens, White’s disgusting rant won’t be forgotten, but at least some good will have come of it," Iole wrote.
