Lawsuit filed in hepatitis case

Attorney Gerald Gillock is filing a lawsuit today on behalf of a patient who contracted Hepatitis C at the Endoscopy Center of Southern Nevada. The lawsuit names the owners of the clinic as well as Quality Care Consultants, a company hired by the clinic for consulting work, and its owners Drs. Ikram Khan and Javaid Anwar. The lawsuit employs a legal claim called foreseeable misuse against the manufacturer and distributor of the anesthesia administered at the clinic, asserting the FDA warned that the packaging and amount of the drug in a vial could induce multiple uses of the same vial.

Gillock appears on Face to Face Friday.
