The team’s comprehensive new brand includes a new logo, new uniforms and other branding elements.

NOW

NFC North updates:

--- The Bears got a new quarterback a couple of weeks ago, and within 45 minutes, I heard from each of my siblings about the wonderful news. It would appear that Jay Cutler is going to make a lot of old Bears fans forget all about Bob Avellini and Vince Evans. (Of course, a slight blow to the head would accomplish the same thing.) But until somebody's grandpa or a really old uncle calls and tells me otherwise, I'm not so sure he's going to make everybody forget about Sid Luckman, because it is a known fact that some Bears fans have memories like elephants.

--- The Lions got a new logo Monday. Actually, it looks a lot like the old one. They also got new jersey fonts. I think they're called Wayne fonts. When you're 0-16, you have to start somewhere. It might as well be new jersey fonts. But I don't know that siblings are calling each other to discuss them.

In a slightly related note, I have noticed that Jack in the Box has a new logo, too. It just says "Jack" with "in the box" in real small letters.

I find that slightly more interesting than the Lions' new look.

Conversely, if I had to choose between Jay Cutler and one of those panini sandwich things, I'd take Cutler, even if the panini is served on artisan bread.

THEN

In 1970, the Lions actually made the playoffs, where they actually lost to the Cowboys 5-0.

5-0.

You don't see that everyday.
