Fire chief who wrote sick leave/vacation emails won $500,000 settlement from county

Gina Hall is shown elsewhere on this blog asking for sick days months in advance -- six in June and three in July. It turns out she was the recipient of a $500,000 settlement from the county in July 2008, records show. The settlement was for "gender based discrimination and retaliation," according to this agenda item:

We have been trying to reach her for comment on why she requested the sick days so far in advance (shortly before she left the job, one year after the settlement) but have so far been unsuccessful.
