Vegas Play of the Day: Seton Hall at Wichita State

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Seton Hall plus-13 at Wichita State: $550 to win $500 : Seton Hall is 6-0 against the Las Vegas points spread this year, including cover as 10-point favorites last week against Rutgers and twice winning as the favorite in road games. Straight up, they are one of 12 undefeated Division I teams.

Wichita State is virtually unbeatable at home, winning its last 21 home games and last 29 home games against nonleague opponents. While Seton Hall full have its hand full beating Wichita State straight up, it will definitely put up a fight in covering the spread.

Wichita State, who employs a four-guard starting lineup, might not have the best guard on the court. Seton Hall freshman Isiah Whitehead is scoring 18 points per game in his past four contests.

The matchup is closer than a double-digit spread. Take Seton Hall.
