Vegas Play of the Day: Los Angeles Clippers at San Antonio Spurs

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Los Angeles Clippers plus-5.5 at San Antonio Spurs: $660 to win $600

Fighting for their lives tonight, I’m not sure that the Clippers can pull off the victory to force a Game 7. But I am rather confident that they’ll keep it close enough to have a chance to win in the final minute and, more importantly, cover the 5.5-point spread.

Only one of San Antonio’s victories was by more than four and, even though they ended up losing, Los Angeles showed on Tuesday the ability to battle back when the Spurs looked like they might run away with the game. I expect a similar performance tonight in Texas.
