We've reset the Play of the Day with fresh bankrolls and turned it into a yearly competition. Our three sports writers have re-started with $10,000 bankrolls to continue using on odds from the South Point.

Chicago Bears minus-3 vs. Washington Redskins: $440 to win $400: After starting the season with a 0-3 record, the Bears have rebounded nicely and enter today with a 5-7 mark. More important, they are 6-2-1 against the Las Vegas points spread since the beginning of October.

The Bears rush for 115 yards per game, which is 11th best in the NFL. That dedication to win games on the ground has taken pressure off quarterback Jay Cutler, who has passed for 2,700 yards and hasn’t had many moments where Bears fans frantically beg for another signal caller to lead their team. He has a 2-to-1 touchdown to interception ratio with 14 touchdowns and just seven interceptions, becoming more patient in first-year coach John Fox’s offense.

The Redskins have just one road win this season. They lost a heart-breaker at home to Dallas on Monday night, and it’s not too far-fetched to assume the loss could linger into today’s game. The Redskins also have a 5-7 record, which considering they start Kirk Cousins, is probably two too many wins.

I expect the Bears to finish the final four games on a high note and the Redskins to limp to the finish line. It starts today with an easy Chicago win and points spread cover. Book it.
