Louisiana Tech minus-4 at Charlotte: $550 to win $500 It’s always a risky wager betting a road team in college basketball. But Louisiana Tech, the best team in Conference USA, will easily cover the number today at Charlotte.
Louisiana Tech has a 20-6 record; Charlotte is 11-14. Charlotte lost at home 78-70 on Jan. 31 against Florida International. Louisiana Tech last Saturday beat the same Florida International team by 33 points.
Louisiana Tech’s veteran roster will be a tough out in the NCAA Tournament — assuming the Bulldogs continue running the table in Conference USA to make the Big Dance. The one-two scoring punch of senior Raheem Appleby and junior Alex Hamilton combine to average 34 points per game for Louisiana Tech, and senior point guard Kenneth Smith averages 7.9 assists per game.
That should be plenty of ammunition to get past an overmatched Charlotte squad and continue building momentum to March.
