Vegas Play of the Day: Kansas at Kansas State

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Kansas at Kansas State over-129 points: $330 to win $300

Hopefully this can stop the bleeding, because I’ve been hemorrhaging fake money lately as I now look up in the standings at colleague Case Keefer.

I was tempted to take the Wildcats plus-6.5, but as much as I like that side, it’s still hard to trust Kansas State to actually hold up its end. What I like better is for this game to continue the trend of the Sunflower Showdown and go over the total.

Kansas State has gone under in seven of its last nine games, but in this series, the trend is the opposite with the game going over in five out of seven. Because of KSU’s struggles, I feel like I’m getting the total at a few points lower than it should be, so hopefully the extra value pays off.

Standings: Keefer (65-65-2, $9,957), Bern (66-61-1, $9,806), Brewer (60-69-3, $4,615)
