Vegas Play of the Day: Toronto Blue Jays at Chicago White Sox

We’ve reset the Play of the Day with fresh bankrolls and turned it into a yearly competition. Our three sports writers have restarted with $10,000 bankrolls to continue using odds from the South Point.

Chicago White Sox minus-127 vs. Toronto Blue Jays: $508 to win $400

Some of the greatest pitching of the season has gone largely under the radar because the corresponding offense is some of the worst in baseball.

Chicago’s Chris Sale has struck out at least 10 in his last eight starts. One of those really highlights the issue: Sale allowed two hits and no runs in eight innings with 14 strikeouts. The White Sox lost 2-1.

So while I don’t feel good about going with the lowest-scoring team in the American League, I still feel like there’s value in this number with a guy as good as Sale.

Current Standings (as of July 1): Brewer (2-0, $11,000), Bern (0-0, $10,000), Keefer (0-2, $9,410)

Lifetime Records: 2014-15 champion Bern (85-74-1), Keefer (82-89-2), Brewer (74-89-2)
