Vegas Play of the Day: Tampa Bay Lightning at New York Rangers

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Tampa Bay Lightning plus-130 at New York Rangers: $300 to win $390

This is the first Stanley Cup playoffs that I’ve really gotten into, and watching this series, the Lightning have always felt like the better team. Now, Game 6 and specifically goalie Ben Bishop’s dreadful performance doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence, but I’m trusting that Tampa Bay will be able to bounce back and give us another Game 7 classic.

The lines for this game are extremely varied, so make sure to shop around for the number you want. Four of the last five games in the series have gone over, but I think this one’s going to be a relatively low-scoring game with Tampa Bay hitting the deciding goal early in the third period.
