Vegas Play of the Day: Toledo at Northern Illinois

We've reset the Play of the Day with fresh bankrolls and turned it into a yearly competition. Our three sports writers have re-started with $10,000 bankrolls to continue using on odds from the South Point.

Northern Illinois pick vs. Toledo: $550 to win $500

Northern Illinois went to Toledo and won by five earlier this season, and oftentimes in these situations I like the team that lost the first game to win the second one. I’m bucking that trend because I feel like the Huskies should be at least a 2-point favorite, so this just feels like good value.

Toledo has the better offense but Northern Illinois at getting to the free throw line and I like the Huskies’ superior defense to dictate enough of the game to get at least a victory.
