Peavy has a 1-4 record this season with an 8.47 earned run average, meaning another poor start and the Giants might not be able to keep him in the starting rotation. On May 4, Peavy gave up four home runs against the Reds. In his most recent start, on May 9, Peavy walked five in five innings.
Peavy has lost his last three starts, and the Giants have lost six of his seven starts this season. The Diamondbacks will add to the poor performances.
