Vegas Play of the Day: TCU at SMU

We’re entering the third season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.

Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the maximum bet being to win $1,000 and the minimum wager $300. Ray Brewer won the 2015-2016 season, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-2015.

TCU at SMU under-66 points: $330 to win $300

TCU has gone over in each of its first three games, but all of those totals were set at less than 60. I think this is too far of a jump up in large part because I don’t think SMU is going to be able to hold up its end of the bargain.

The Horned Frogs, who are 21.5-point favorites tonight, have also failed to cover the spread in all three games. Both trends might come to an end tonight, but I’m more confident in the points because SMU relies so much on a rushing attack that should eat up a lot of clock.
