Local students honored at Waldorf College Honors Day

Forest City, Iowa | On April 2, Waldorf College students, faculty, staff and alumni came together to celebrate the annual Honors Day. Nearly 230 scholarships were distributed to Waldorf students, providing $368,817 in financial aid.

Following are local student recipients honored at the event:

Nevada

Las Vegas - Angel Gomez received the Dean L. Nerem Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior majoring in business.

Las Vegas - Charlotte Madrid received the Melvin O. Burtness Scholarship.

Las Vegas - Kaylee Vitalee received The Metta Fick Family Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a student who has displayed academic achievement. Vitalee was also honored as members of the Alpha Chi honors society.

Reno - Ali Schulte received the Marlys R. Cook Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded annually to a second-year student at Waldorf College on the basis of high Christian character, high scholarship and active participation.
