Smith's Food & Drug Centers has become the third grocery store chain in Southern Nevada to offer a frequent-shopper card for customers.
The Fresh Values Shopper Card was introduced Wednesday at Smith's 13 stores in Las Vegas and Pahrump. The program isn't available at the company's Mesquite store or in its four warehouse stores, which operate as Price Rite.
To get a free card, a customer fills out a brief application. Each applicant gets a wallet-sized card and two smaller key-chain cards giving additional family members access to the card's benefits.
Smith's joins Vons and Lucky among local supermarkets offering frequent buyer cards.
Vons introduced cards to Southern Nevada last year, while Lucky began its Rewards Card program earlier in February.
