Thalia Dondero will be honored at the "Gaela" event.
The former county commissioner serves on the Board of Catholic Charities, as chairman of the Housing Division/Affordable Housing State of Nevada, on the Advisory Board for Clark County Community College, and as a regent for the University of Nevada.
Dondero, who has lived in Las Vegas since 1943, has five grown children and 15 grandchildren. One grandchild is a Bishop Gorman graduate, another attends Bishop Gorman, and others will soon be enrolled.
Tickets for the evening are $125. Call Bishop Gorman High School, 732-1945, Ext. 308, to make reservations or to purchase your raffle tickets.
The winning ticket for a new car, which has been donated by Cliff Findlay of Saturn of West Sahara and Henderson, will be drawn at the "Knight of the Gael" on March 12 at the Palace Station. Raffle tickets are on sale at Bishop Gorman High School at $10 each or $25 for three. Raffle proceeds will be used for Bishop Gorman High School's hookup to the Internet.
