Osgood will act as the Layne-Byron Distinguished Speaker during the dinner to be held at The Mirage.
Osgood, named anchorman of the Sunday morning news program in April 1994, also is heard daily on the CBS radio network, where he reports "The Osgood File," in which he comments on little-known or headline news stories. The show earned him the Washington Journalism Review's "Best in the Business" Award as Best Radio Reporter for five years in a row (1988-92).
The dinner is by invitation only to members of the UNLV Foundation annual giving groups who contribute $1,000 or more in support of the university's programs. For further information about the foundation's annual giving programs call 895-3641.
