The Las Vegas Review-Journal, quoting an unnamed police source, said the two officers came to blows as a crowd watched the incident late Thursday outside the Stardust Hotel.
Police confirm that officers Greg Ziel and Mike Hope became involved in an altercation, but contend only words were exchanged.
Police Capt. Terry Lesney said the officers were written up and warned not to repeat such an incident.
