"Ah, Wilderness" is the romantic comedy story of a boy and his last summer of innocence. It is a departure from O'Neill's usual work as it is the only comedy he's written.
"We see that love persists no matter what tries to destroy it," said guest director Paul Barry, "yet underlying the romance is O'Neill's familiar pessimism, which elevates this work."
Performances of "Ah, Wilderness" are 8 p.m. Thursday, March 14-15 and 19-22 with matinees at 2 p.m. March 16 and 23. Tickets are $8 at UNLV's Performing Arts Center box office, 895-3801.
