Letter: Credit card billing errors cause sleepless nights

So I used the card often. I would even charge items when I had plenty of cash in my pocket. My wife would question me, saying she had cash. I would reply that I was building up dollars for the future on a new car should we need one.

Now, come September of last year, my statement began to list many items I had not purchased: motorcycles, a truck rental, cellular phone items, Nevada Power bills and many other things. The amount of time I have spent since then on the phone, writing letters, etc., has kept me busy, not to mention giving me endless sleepless nights. Thanks to my good doctor, who has supplied me with prescriptions for sleeping and other problems, I have withstood the pressure, which, at my age of 83, I do not need.

Each time I receive a communication from the GM Gold Card Service, it gives me as the reason billing errors and clerical mistakes. Any well-run business would be looking around the office and would be making some changes. But, at this writing, the whole affair has still not been cleared up.

Warning! This could happen to you. Or, better still: All that glitters is not gold, the GM Gold Card that is.
