St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson has scheduled a free Diabetes Fair from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. March 25.
The fair will take place in the hospital annex, with lectures held in the Home Health Conference Room. The hospital is in the St. Rose Dominican Medical Plaza, 98 E. Lake Mead Drive.
Fair-goers will be able to find out if they are susceptible to diabetes by taking the American Diabetes Association's written risk test. Those who are generally more at risk are blacks, Hispanics, Indians and the elderly.
There is no cure yet for diabetes, but proper treatment can control blood-sugar levels and help prevent or delay diabetes-related complications. To register for the Diabetes Fair, call 564-2622, ext. 3503.
