That the media seems to be making some kind of heroes out of a child that deliberately destroys another person's property and a mother who who does not seem to be teaching her child a good set of values is a disgrace. Are we now going to see copycats?
The mother ought to be hiding her face in shame that she did not raise her child to respect the property of others. How would he like it if someone scratched all the paint and ruined a tire on his bike? When the builder contacted the mother, she basically told him "so what" and he had no recourse but to contact the authorities. More than likely, if he had not reported the vandalism to the authorities, his insurance would not cover the damage.
Barbara Anderson and her son Jeremy are good examples of what is wrong with today's society.
